Counselling with Mel Lewis
Most of us will feel low, and may be depressed at some stage in our lives. At other times events in life might make us feel unsettled, nervous and even anxious.
And nearly all of us will also experience bereavement.
Counselling can be a very helpful process to aid you through these difficult times.

I offer confidential, non-judgemental and compassionate support for you, or your child, to explore feelings and emotions in a safe space, to talk through difficulties, and to have someone fully listen to what is being said.
I am able to work with you privately on a one to one basis, either in person, on Zoom, or via the telephone. Sessions with children and young people are always in person.

I have experience in working with a variety of presenting issues, including bereavement, depression, anxiety, self harm and abuse, with both adults and children.
When working with children, I offer a safe space for them to explore how they are feeling, using Play/Sand/Creative Therapies.

I feel it is so important to gain trust, and to feel comfortable with your counsellor, so I offer a free initial telephone consultation, and should you then wish to continue I charge £60 per 50 minute session.

Losing a loved one is one of life's most challenging experiences. Counselling can provide compassionate support to navigate the grieving process. Grief is a deeply personal journey and I aim to provide you with a safe space for you to express your emotions and find healing. I tailor my bereavement support to your unique needs, whether that's coping with a recent loss, or seeking guidance years later. An empathic approach will help you process grief, manage overwhelming emotions, and ultimately find a path towards acceptance and renewed hope.
You don't have to go through this journey alone.
Struggling with depression can feel isolating, but you are never alone in your journey towards healing.
Counselling provides empathic and effective support for those facing depression, recognising that it can manifest uniquely in each individual, I aim to help you find a path to recovery.
We can work together to identify triggers, develop coping strategies, and foster a sense of hope and empowerment.
Anxiety can be overwhelming but it doesn't have to control your life.
It takes on many forms, from generalised worries to specific phobias and counselling can help you to conquer anxiety and gain control.
I offer a safe and non-judgemental space where you can explore the root causes of your anxiety and develop effective coping mechanisms, aiming to empower you in managing anxiety's grip.
